From Amazon:
"A tale of twelve princesses doomed to dance until dawn… Galen is a young soldier returning from war; Rose is one of twelve princesses condemned to dance each night for the King Under Stone. Together Galen and Rose will search for a way to break the curse that forces the princesses to dance at the midnight balls. All they need is one invisibility cloak, a black wool chain knit with enchanted silver needles, and that most critical ingredient of all—true love—to conquer their foes in the dark halls below. But malevolent forces are working against them above ground as well, and as cruel as the King Under Stone has seemed, his wrath is mere irritation compared to the evil that awaits Galen and Rose in the brighter world above."
Oooh... How brilliant does that sound? I love The Twelve Dancing Princesses. And what a beautiful cover! It just came out in hardback, but the question is: should I buy it now, or wait for the paperback? *sigh*

I can't really afford it, but...
(Also, I will totally reply to your email. Later! *has shifty eyes*)
*looks at book budget*
Dangit...gonna have to wait.
That reminds me, have you read "Wildwood Dancing" by Juliet Marillier? Loved it.
p.s. Thank you for my Kreativ Blogger Award! I haven't forgotten...
(Did you read Wildwood Dancing? Same fairy tale, different story. Verra good.)
Not a bad hardcover price there on amazon, either.
And that cover is gorgeous! The costumer in me wants a high resolution copy of that picture to study that amazing dress! All that embroidery is just breathtaking.
The dress is INCREDIBLE. Maybe there's some info on the cover somewhere online.
Make sure you tell us what you thought after you give in and buy it and have a chance to read it.
As for free books, I got the six you mailed to me yesterday. Yay!
And thanks for letting me know, re. the other books. Yay!
And Wildwood Dancing is quite good. I love re-told/expanded fairie tales, and The Twelve Dancing Princesses is one of my favorites. (This one is made of pretty, although it's just a kid's book of the original story, not a novel.)
Thanks for mentioning Wildwood Dancing (I have to read it now!), and for the link too.
Love that icon... *sigh*
I haven't read 'The Twelve Dancing Princesses'... I don't think I've even heard of it before. :S
