I want this book!

Wonder Woman

From Amazon:

"A tale of twelve princesses doomed to dance until dawn… Galen is a young soldier returning from war; Rose is one of twelve princesses condemned to dance each night for the King Under Stone. Together Galen and Rose will search for a way to break the curse that forces the princesses to dance at the midnight balls. All they need is one invisibility cloak, a black wool chain knit with enchanted silver needles, and that most critical ingredient of all—true love—to conquer their foes in the dark halls below. But malevolent forces are working against them above ground as well, and as cruel as the King Under Stone has seemed, his wrath is mere irritation compared to the evil that awaits Galen and Rose in the brighter world above."

Oooh... How brilliant does that sound? I love The Twelve Dancing Princesses. And what a beautiful cover! It just came out in hardback, but the question is: should I buy it now, or wait for the paperback? *sigh*

Oooo, that sounds like a good book! If you're trying to save money, I would wait for the paperback, and just pretend that you don't see it. Otherwise, buy it!

Hmm... That's a great idea, but then I realised there probably isn't a UK edition. *sigh*

That sounds awesome and if it lives up to its description, I'd probably want to read it again..

Pretty icon... :) Yes, I think I'd read this more than once too.

Oh wow, I want it for the cover art alone! Plot sounds pretty cool too. 12 pincesses cursed to dance the nights away for some mysterious King Under Stone? How can you not want to read that? Question is, how much do you want to read it? If you really, really want it (and can afford it) get the hardback. If not, wait for the paperback. Simple as that.

Yeah, I'd get it for the cover alone too! :)

I can't really afford it, but...

(Also, I will totally reply to your email. Later! *has shifty eyes*)

I love the 12 Dancing Princesses! That and Beauty and the Beast are my favorite fairy tales! (Scrambles off to track down book.)

Yes, both are wonderful - but it's so unusual to see the 12 Dancing Princesses retold like this. :)

Isn't that a gorgeous cover??? I totally want it, but I think I might have to wait for a bit, at least until my review list goes down. Boo!

That reminds me, have you read "Wildwood Dancing" by Juliet Marillier? Loved it.

Oh, that looks wonderful. The cover is gorgeous and you can just see the dancing slipper peeking out underneath the dress. The Twelve Dancing Princesses has been my favourite fairy tale ever since I was given this picture book.

Oh, I adore retold fairy tales, and that one is a favorite of mine, as well. Definitely want to read it.

Not a bad hardcover price there on amazon, either.

And that cover is gorgeous! The costumer in me wants a high resolution copy of that picture to study that amazing dress! All that embroidery is just breathtaking.

The dress is INCREDIBLE. Maybe there's some info on the cover somewhere online.

Make sure you tell us what you thought after you give in and buy it and have a chance to read it.

Now I want it too... Why did I have to come back to this blog after I know that I will always want things badly? Gah!!! But I do recommend hard covers. It is way more magical and intimate. I feel like a really intelligent person when my fingers slowly glide down on the cool material of the hard cover as I adjust the book on my lap and play with the slightly spiky corner and sigh as that special scent invades my nostrils. *laughs*

Now, you've gone and given me another book to read, dammit! :)

And Wildwood Dancing is quite good. I love re-told/expanded fairie tales, and The Twelve Dancing Princesses is one of my favorites. (This one is made of pretty, although it's just a kid's book of the original story, not a novel.)
