1) I've been eating really badly lately. Cereal is fine for breakfast, but I must remember that eating three bowls of it in one day isn't a substitute for other meals. Nor can I count my new discovery: apple & sultana muffins from Pret. Occasionally, yes. Every day? Um... just check out the calorie and fat content. *feels guilty*
2) Finally made an appointment with my doctor re. migraines. Now the challenge will be to see if I actually stick to it, especially as it's not until later next week...
3) I'm very sad to see that Borders on Oxford Street is closing down due to the recession. I chatted with one of the staff members and, of course, not all of them will be given jobs in other branches. There's a '50% off everything' sale and the queues were mind-boggling. I bought one thing, but did my best to resist further temptation. I find it hard to believe I've never read any of The Spiderwick Chronicles.
4) I have a busy weekend lined up, but hope to get a big chunk of my revisions done. I don't think I'll finish, but if I can get within a few chapters from the end I'll be happy.
5) And finally, I have to point out the first 'official' review I've seen of THE ETERNAL KISS. Very happy to see that it's by someone that I don't know well beyond occasionally reading her posts on LJ. I mean, when your mum tells you that she thinks your story is good, you have to take it with a pinch of salt... Heh. But seriously, not only did the whole anthology get the thumbs up from
janicu, she said nice things about 'Falling to Ash' and I'm very grateful. And just a tiny bit relieved. ;) I hope that one day I get to share more of Moth's tales, whether in THE IRON WITCH (currently on submission - she's a supporting character) or with BEAUTIFUL GHOSTS - her very own novel, which I'm now revising before sending to Agent M).

Kidding. But srsly, there are so many new treatments out there for migraine, it's crazy to suffer if you don't have to. (Speaking as one who's been there!!)
Also, excellent review - you were one of her faves! YAY, Kaz!!
Huzzah!! It was the first mention, so it's special. I promise to shut up about it now... heh.
I agree with chant_1...go to the doctor. But becareful with the meds, some of them have worse side effects than you need. But being pain-free is so nice.
Congratulations on your review. I thought the book wasn't out til next week.....going off to hunt for Eternal Kiss now.
I think the reviewer had an advanced copy. Official release date is 27th July, although I hear some copies have started shipping early.
And it's so lovely to have you back, luv.
Enjoy them all. And I hope you like the whole anthology.
Yes, release dates seem to vary - it's strange...
Anyway, I hope you don't have to wait too long - there are some great stories. I LOVE Holly Black's story. :)
p.s. You're not far from London, right? We should meet up for coffee one day. Talk books...
I'm in the 'burbs, only about 30+ mins from London so we should definitely try and meet up one of these days :)
Re: #2 - YAY finally. You will not skip. You will go. And get better! So sez me.
Re: #5 - Great job on your first official review!!! EEEEEEEE!
*hugs*
p.s. I shouldn't be here - couldn't sleep.
p.s. My copies of TEK are shipping. Should have them soon! (Which of course means *you'll* have your own copy soon, too)
